Bright Future Outreach: Empowering Children with Disabilities in Zimbabwe

At Hope & Salvation, we believe in the power of small acts of love to create lasting change. This March, in collaboration with Global Health Lecturer Volunteer Fellows, we are embarking on an extraordinary journey to Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe, for a two-week mission dedicated to empowering and supporting children with disabilities.

A Mission to Create Lasting Impact

From March 17 to 31, 2025, our team of dedicated volunteers will be working closely with local communities to provide essential health education, resources, and advocacy for children with visible and invisible disabilities. This initiative aligns with our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas of healthcare, education, and social inclusion.

Why Zimbabwe?

Zimbabwe, like many parts of Africa, faces significant challenges in providing adequate support for children with disabilities. Many children experience exclusion from education, limited access to healthcare, and societal stigma. Our outreach program seeks to break these barriers by equipping families, caregivers, and educators with the tools and knowledge to nurture and empower these children.

What We Aim to Achieve

Through the Bright Future Outreach, we will:

✅ Provide healthcare support tailored for children with disabilities

✅ Educate families and caregivers on best practices for disability care

✅ Advocate for inclusion in schools and communities

✅ Engage in mentorship programs for children with special needs

✅ Distribute essential resources such as assistive devices and learning materials

We recognize that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are working with local leaders, educators, and healthcare professionals to make a sustainable impact.
