PROJECT INKLUSIVE

3RD DECEMBER, WORLD DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities use a social model of disabilities and defines it as long term physical , mental and intellectual or sensory impairment that can hinder full and effective participation of the affected persons in society (UN, 2006).

Research has now shown that there are over 1 Billion people around the world who  live with some form of disability, this  makes around 15% of the global population (WHO, 2011). 150 million of children with disabilities live in Africa.

On 3rd December, 2020, we will join hands with these children in Ghana and Zimbabwe to celebrate 10 years of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We will host several activities to raise awareness and advocate for their inclusion in a project we have dubbed "INKLUSIVE"

The highlight will be the donation of items to 200 families from both Ghana and Zimbabwe.
